Observability First
Statement
Every service must emit structured logs, metrics, and distributed traces from the first deployment, using the enterprise observability stack.
Rationale
Supply chain operations are time-sensitive. Without observability, incident response is slow, capacity planning is guesswork, and SLA breaches are detected by customers before operations teams.
Implications
- Observability is part of the architectural definition of done
- Alerting thresholds and runbooks are defined before go-live
- New services must appear on the central operations dashboard
